Pokémon Uranium is primarily the work of two creators, the pseudonymous '~JV~' and 'Twitch'. The pair wrote the game for PC using RPG Maker XP.
Despite being completely unofficial and unauthorised, it's a terrifically ambitious project. The game features an original story; an unseen setting, the Tandor region; dozens of original Pokémon; and even a new Pokémon type befitting the game's name: nuclear. In a grim twist, only two Pokémon are naturally this type – the rest have been 'corrupted' by radiation.
